K-1st Grades
Our K-1st grade class focuses on the FUNdamentals. The kids learn the basics of the Bible, math, language arts, handwriting, and with a focused emphasis on phonics. We provide a safe, yet structured environment that specializes in learning through gameplay and activity. We strive to have our students be rooted in the basics so they can grow and thrive in the future!
Class sizes are deliberately kept small in order to promote children to feel safe enough to be involved and engage in the program. The most a class can have is 9 students. If there are more than 9 students signed up the same class, then the class will be split. The ideal size is between 4 and 8 students per class. This keeps us from having to require weekly parent participation--although parents are always welcome in our classrooms!
The tuition is very simple and straight-forward much like our Roots program itself!
There is a yearly registration fee based on family enrollment, a one time yearly facility fee of $100 per family, a once-a-semester $50 supply fee, and monthly fees of $150 for tuition and $20 for insurance.
2nd- 3rd Grades
In our 2nd- 3rd grade class we like to step things up a bit. We focus more on beginning to use what we have learned in previous classes and refine it. Basic handwriting classes turn into introductory cursive. The kids still review the basics of the Bible, math, language arts, handwriting, but take a step further by reading chapter books and learning to present basic reports out loud in front of their classmates. This class cements what the student has been learning and gives them the confidence to move on to the upcoming challenges that lie ahead.

4th-5th Grades
Our 4th-5th grade class is our most pivotal class. In this class, students take what they've learned and begin to use it in practical ways. There is a focus on creative writing and storytelling done in such a way as to not overwhelm young children. Our students are so well versed in the basics that at this point they are heavily encouraged to use their imaginations and create! These are the transitional years that help our students become life-long learners and educators in their own right!

6th-7th Grades
The 6th-7th grade class is the pinnacle of our Roots Academy. Students in this class will be able to read and write in cursive fluently (including the reading of our country's founding documents). They will have a firm understanding of civics and how our country runs. They will enjoy a comprehensive knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (with a few tricks thrown in to amaze those around them). Finally, and most importantly, our students will have an in depth understanding of Biblical principles and how to apply them to the world around them. This class truly prepares students not just for high school, but everyday life!
